excuse the background...

Please excuse the mess in the background. I was in a rush and I just threw my shoes and paper everywhere. Anyways, so this is what I wore to the church service yesterday evening. It was simple and comfortable. I even tried to do my hair! It wasn't a success, but it was good enough.

Yesterday I wore: my Elle jean Jacket, off white Forever 21 dress  (as you can see, it has polka dots), my black basic Forever 21 skirt, and my black H&M flats. And as always, I wore my trusty Coach purse.

Here are a few pictures of some of my friends and I being silly after church. As you can see, I was very casual. And like many other times, I wore my jean ELLE jacket to make the outfit more laid back.

I'm a lucky girl... #Poshmark Selling

Well, I feel happy!  I sold 3 items on Poshmark and I'm trading one pair of shoes. I feel very grateful that I'm able to sell these items, they may not make me rich, but they're empting my closet and giving me some money on the side. But I'm also glad since I want to minimalize my closet and get out there.

My mom's dream was to open a little store and sell clothes and accessories. Some handmade items, but mostly she wanted her little spot and little by little, that thought has consumed me. So I thought, hey, I can start very small and sell my own clothes and see how I like it. So far, it's all good. I make little "thank you" notes for each and every purchase and send them on their merry way. I quite like it, it's fun and exciting. And now my sister has added some of her clothes and shoes to my "closet" on Poshmark. Now we have a little variety along with some new techniques I did to style the clothing and make it more appealing to the customer.

Also, my sister and I have been talking and we are going to do a "Style Post" every Friday and describe our outfits and why we chose them. Since Friday is the only day we go all out in heals and the works, we decided to start there. It will be both my sister and I so you'll get to see two perspectives on clothing. Well, that's all for now. Have a good night.

items on sale... #Poshmark

More items here.

Well, don't these look pretty?  Yes, I know that they are. And yes, they are all for sale. I have cleaned out some of my closet and posted them on my Poshmark profile. The prices, I'd like to think, are accessible and reasonable. I am now selling some smaller clothes thanks to my sister Stephanie. Anyways, if you guys have a Poshmark or not, I'd like for you to check out my things. It would really mean a whole lot for me. Oh, and I also included a picture of us -- both my sister, Stephanie and I -- the sellers. Isn't she just adorable?! ;D

Well, I hope everyone has a great day! Love all the way from California.

the softer side...

Starting on the left side 1) picture of my sister and cousins in Santa Rosa 2) "Knock my Socks Off" Sift Cupcake 3) Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade 4)the ladies from church laughing and talking while drinking some Starbucks.

It's all pink! Well, if you saw my post yesterday you would see that it was a bit masculine, but this one shows the "softer side" you can say , of the day yesterday. I had a talk with my friend about school and drank some Passion Tea Lemonade. I took more pictures and the likes but I didn't post them up here they're in my instagram. You can follow me: @instantdork.  Anyways, that's all I gatta say right now. The sun fried my brain and I now have a head ache... Anyways, good bye.

he's such a blur...

Well, this is a bit different.  I bet no one who knows me would think that I would post a picture or take pictures of people playing soccer much less sit and wait for the game to end.  But that is precisely what I did. I took pictures of my friends and sister. I am fathful even if I don't like the sport. So I did what I do best. I took pictures. I'll post some more tomorrow.

It was a very hectic day at work and I woke up way too early but I manages on two cups of coffee and tons of water and Passion Tea Lemonade from Starbucks. Anyways, I'm a bit tired, so excuse me if I'm not making much sense. Have a good night!

"Gonna take her for a ride on a big jet plane..."

Well, today was quite a day. I won't say any more because it's best to left it unsaid. It was an okay day, not the worst, but really not the best.

This picture was taken last week when I went to the beach with one of my best friends and if you look closely, there's a plane on the left side. It's a really nice picture and I only added one filter and that was it. This is the only picture I have to describe my mood. Which is gloomy and kind of sad. Well, I hope tomorrow gets a bit better. If not, then I always have my music.

well, these shoes are making me blue...

ROCK AND REPUBLIC suede blue pumps (KOHL'S) / GUESS? royal blue platform heels (TJ MAXX)

A pop of color! Who doesn't need it? I know I do and I love all the darker colors in the color spectrum, but sometimes I get kind of bored and to spice up my outfits, I wear my royal blue GUESS? pumps. I mean, who doesn't love to get complimented nonstop about their outfit and their shoes!

I've worn my lovely blue heels for a while and while it was love at first sight, I must -- sadly -- say that I needed to buy a new pair just to be sure I have a back up. So off I was in Kohl's looking through racks and shoes and thinking I should buy some things while I obviously didn't need anything, wen I saw these beauties on sale.
more images in my Chictopia profile.

Mind you, I am very much in love with my Guess? pair, but I saw these and took off my shoes and ta-da! Instant love. I bought them thinking they were on clearance when I actually saw the price I was astounded. I paid $30 for these babies and got a $10 coupon for spending more than $50 bucks. (I did say I was browsing for things I didn't need.)  I just love blue. Don't you?

4:30 PM

BIC marker, orange, my Art Journal, iPhone 4s, Pink Skull Candy Ear buds

I finally took some pictures with Olly!  As you can see, it's once again time to doodle and think I'm a great doodler. I sat outide for a while sinceI was annoyed and started doodling my annoyance away. While I was at it I decided to eat an orange in the beautiful shade and eat the orange I did!

Anyways... I think the pictures are pretty good and the quality is great. I don't have much to say other than rant and I'm not sure you guys want to hear me do that but I'll do it anyway.

Okay, so if you read the post before this one, well, then you would know that I'm feeling quite uncertain about my future.  I'm really hoping my mind calms down and my heart and mind are settled in one place so that I can stop feeling like this.  Okay, so that wasn't long... but my feelings are never ending. I hope I can get things in order and soon.

decluttering and procastinating...

I want to Live More and Want Less!   I ordered this book by Mary Carlomangno on Amazon a week or two ago and it came in the mail today. I haven't read much of it yet but the introduction and the first chapter. So far it's good. It tells the reader about how we go about wanting to do things the wrong way and what are the steps to go about it the right way. It talks about goals and processes and letting go not to have less, but to be happy with what you've got.

As you can see, this picture seems strategically messy. The truth is that I was cleaning my closet and took things out and then I thought, "wouldn't Olly look amazing with my books and nature page?"  So that's what I did. Andthis is the result. Do you think it looks nice?

I haven't gone out to test Olly as I should, but I will! Olly has been sitting in my drawer patiently waiting for my days off so it can come out to play, until then it is happy to have makeshift photo-shoots with other items.  I also have a website with pseudo class assignments I can do at my own pace and learn how to use lighting and all that good stuff. I have to say that Google is my very good friend when it comes to giving me what I need.

I read urban tease's post (if you click it you'll go to it)  and felt not a spark, no, I felt a roaring fire when I read it. I can relate to her quite a bit with the exception that I don't feel so close to those whom I work with. Chole is going to quit her job with having no back up plan and she has big drams, people who love her and a good looking head on her shoulder. She said that she was equally scared and excited... and that's what I am. Just thinking of the prospect of doing something new is invigorating. I feel that in my job I am doing nothing other than just doing what I did the week before. Quite tiresome and tedious if you ask me.   But I guess that's one of the reasons why I bought Live More, Want Less. To help me compartmentalize my life and wants along with my clutter.

Anyway, I have to go to bed. It's only 11PM and my body is trying to shut off, so off I go!  Have a good night, or day to whomever is on the other side of the world.

somebody asked me and I responded...

So my friend asked me... "why do you blog, Susy?" And I got to thinking and asking myself, why do I blog...?

I blog because I like to ramble. I like to talk to people and this is my way that I can talk and others can respond -- comment -- to me and I get to expand my circle of friends. I also blog to get other people's perspective. I like to hear what else is there than my side of the world.

So all in all I blog to get myself out there. So I can grow and expand and be better. I blog because I like it. I blog -- even if people don't respond or read this, because I want to find who I can be as a person and record it then look back in the future and think that this is where I started.

So... that's why I blog.

Olly is here to stay!

I think I'm in love! Olly just came in the mail today and I'm quite in love with it. Amazon was very precise about the conditions of the camera and I am very pleased to say that it is the first electronic I buy online, but it will not be the last!

"brightlights in the big city..."

I need to really stop buying things. I can't say shopping since the items I have bough are sporadic. But just yesterday night after coming from work I did something impulsve. I bough an Olympus PEN E-PL1 on Amazon. I had wanted a DSLR for quite some time, but when I researched and read reviews and videos about said camera I was in love. It has a lens you can detach and there is an adaptor you can buy to put other lens' -- from other cameras and brands, mind you -- and have the same quality over having to buy a Canon or Nikon. I have noting against the brands or quality of Canon or Nikon, it's just that for my first camera, I want something a bit less expensive. I have a digital camera, but it's a bit bulky and not appropriate to take out all the time, not to mention it's really blurry after a certain point while zooming into the frame.

The camera, or Olly (as I am now referring to it), is arriving at my house in two short -- or long, depending on my impatience -- days. All in all, I am excited, tired, kind of broke and happy... no, scratch that, I'm ecstatic.

Have a great day!

that #Marvel Chick

Please tell me you love this pins as much as I do! I bough these pins on a whim while buying a key chain for my friends birthday and I don't regret it.

I have to say that I love seeing superhero movies a lot; and while I love a good action film, I am quite picky with my heroes. I am a Marvel kinda girl. I love, love, LOVE Iron Man and Captain America, but I have to say that Marvel Movie wise, I choose Iron Man hands down. (The Avengers not withstanding.)  Well, that's it. I just wanted to show off my pins because they're AMAZING! Have a good day!

yellow and black make my world turn blue...

On me: dress; F21 / cardigan; THRIFTED / shoes; GUESS?
On her: jacket; H&M / skirt; F21 / shoes; STEVE MADDEN
"Hello there, Miss Sunshine!" That's what my sister said to me yesterday -- yes, I wore this yesterday -- when she saw me wearing the yellow dress. And I have to say I felt very chic and very cheerful while wearing it, too! It was my sister's 17th birthday yesterday and since she didn't want to do anything big, we decided to really dress up for church.
I must be truthful... I was feeling rather glum for a while because lately I have gained weight. It might seem to others that I am not what people would consider fat, but I am not my usual weight right now and I was feeling it in my clothes quite a bit yesterday. So I decided to go to my Chictopia Page and scroll and find inspiration.  Luckily I had the greatest inspiration. The color Yellow with black and my handy-dandy Royal Blue Guess? pumps. Once we took some pictures, We were ready to go!
I must say though, I haven't felt this fabulous in a long time! So check out my page! ;D

PS: The little girl with the polka-dot skirt? Yeah, that's my sister.

“Experience had taught me that even the most precious memories fade with the passage of time.”

“You were honest and hardworking and kind. You were polite and patient and more mature than any guy I’d dated before. And when we were together, you listened in a way that made me feel like I was the only woman in the world. You made me feel complete and spending time with you just seemed right.”

This book is so beautiful; if you haven't read it, then you should. Seriously, I recommend this book. I'm not going to give anything away other than it's very insightful into the life of a married couple. When I read it, I really connected to it and I am not married and/or in a relationship. But this book here? Yeah, it moved me to tears and it broke my heart. I really suggest girls read this. It's in the husband's POV but I think I like it better because of it. So read it; or be like me and re-read it. Just remember that nothing is for granted.
