5 little things : December

December is almost over! And I feel like it just begun. Oh, well. This month has been pretty good, I guess. No bad things to say about it, but I do hate all these sales because I can't shop them. *sigh* Anyways, This month I took more pictures and went through my old picture folders and dug up some good ones. Well, on to the 5 things:

1. I haven't been to the theaters since October
2. Pinterest is my go to for outfit inspiration
3. I'm addicted to Starbucks.
4. I'm a Starbucks gold card member
5. I've had 3 cups o coffee today.

side-note : handmade shops

Does anyone have an etsy or storenvy shop? I'd love to check you guys out. I'm really into the planers and crats, so if you have that, then really tag me. I'd love to see some new sellers.

lately : taking one step at a time

I was going through my old instagram pictures and I had a lot of water color time.  Or so I called it. But now since I worn in a school my schedule is from 8a-4p and I have little time to spare now that the sun goes down real quick, but I'm going to change that very soon. I will be planning out my weeks and trying to fit more into my days. Doing more creatively and at home too. I've been lagging it with my photography and blog and I know that but I just can't help it. But the blog is going to be revamped and renewed. I'm very excited to see what will come of this.

what 2014 taught me : growing stages

While growing up I wasn't a real girly-girl. I guess it hit me when I was 13-15 years old since I used to hang out with my friends from church and to me, they were so very stylish! So that's when it all started. My complex, my infatuation with clothes and my need to feel good.  A few years later, my mom passed.  I was 18 and I was a senior in high school. Looking good wasn't my top priority, but my dad gave us money more often, he let us shop a lot more. I guess it was his way of making us feel better, in a sense. Then when I started working regularly I shopped all the time. I mean, what's a 21 year old supposed to do? I shopped for me, my sister and sometimes my dad. I ate out all the time and was obsessed with brand names.

Now, at the age of 24, I am more content with my "personal style". I know I like comfort but a little flair is always welcome to break up my routine. I wear a whole lot of basic skirts and sun dresses are my preference. I know I want to be a photographer and I know I want to be successful in happiness. Brand names are great and all, but I don't turn down a deal. Thrifting is a great way to expand my love for old things and my frame collection.

I guess all and all, my closet has grown with me. You can tell I know what I like if you glance at my closet. Blues, grays, blacks, beiges, pinks... those colors will greet you if you look in there. I have a few pops of colors, but my basic colors are my thing.

Growing up is such a weird thing for me; the smallest things make me feel grown. Getting a Costco club card, buying my first airline tickets, leaving the state without my dad. It's been an adventure these past couple of years, but I'm just glad I've had the sense to embrace time and learned to love myself and know myself.

before and after and the raiders

and the raiders win

This post is jumbled up, as life regularly is. Let's start with the first picture. I started moving around the furniture in my room and then I went to +IKEA USA and got a few things. Now, at the end of the week, I've got everything assembled and in place. I did a lot of simple DIYs with washi tape, too! Now I feel like I have some space to be productive. It feels great. And the last picture is from my instagram in support for the +Oakland Raiders. Now, I'm off to do some serious planning for next week. Ciao.

pinterest inspiration ; bedroom and office

Happy day after cyber Monday! I didn't do much shopping... oh, who am I lying to? I spent half my paycheck already. But one thing that's hitting me already is New Years. With New Years I get all twitchy with wanting to change everything and where do I get some of my ideas from? Pinterest! I bought a small cabinet at +Target and today I'm going to +IKEA USA and getting me a table that I will utilize as a dest. My room will soon look different! thank the heavens! I'll be posting pictures in the page's Facebook. Stay tuned for updates!
