winds of change

Change is inevitable and sometimes scary, but most of the time, it's needed.  That's why I'm leaving my job of almost a two years to work at The Rack for a seasonal and part time position. I know it's crazy to leave on a whim and it may be rude to leave without a two weeks notice, but I needed the change. I'm happy that I got the job, and happy doesn't even begin to describe the feeling I had when I got the call telling me that I got the position. It doesn't matter it's unstable because it's a seasonal because I can get another job later. I'm living, I'm actually living the life and the experiences I want! It's exhilarating and so scary. But I'm so very glad and thankful to God that I got the position. I'm going to take one day at a time and live my life as I want. So I bid you all good night and wish you a beautiful day full of amazing experiences and people who love you and encourage you. That itself will get you far.

Year of the Horse

It's the year of the Horse. I went to San Francisco and treated my dad to a belated birthday dinner and present. We ate Korean food and drank lots of tea then I we went to ZARA and chose a few dress shirts for my dad. My dad was amazed that I just went in the store and knew what to get him. I think all the hours I've done shopping actually helped in the end! Ha.  I had a good time shopping with him and my sister and apparently, he said he wanted to get some suite jackets and things some other time. I was very happy he trusted my fashion outlook and his comfort level as well. I love analyzing people and their personalities and choosing clothes that they love. I guess that's why I want to work in a department store.

just a little bit of sparkle

Sparkle and twinkle I will!I went shopping with my two co-workers on Sunday and had fun while walking around and eating. I saw this sequins pencil skirt and I just HAD to have it. I'm usually of a more understated person, but I just loved this skirt. After buying my ZARA glitter clutch, I just loved how one sparkly item can change an entire outfit.  Anyways, that's all for now. I'm supposed to go to my BFF's house and give her her present. Today is her birthday! I'm also going to go get Chinese and celebrate my dad's birthday today! Have a good day everyone!

make me believe, oh, baby, please

photo via my instagram

It's almost Monday -- Hooray! Most people aren't pleased for the week to start, but if you read my last post today (weekend worker; it's self explanatory, yes?), you would know that I work every weekend, no matter the weekend.

Today was a bit different. I woke up at my usual Sunday schedule and I felt energized (maybe I should start going to bed earlier?  ...Nah!). By the time I left work, I was feeling great, so my other co-workers and I decided to hit the city and enjoy the day together. And enjoy it we did. And that's why I feel great. I feel at peace with the people I work with, my plans to fly to New York are coming along, and by the end of this month or the beginning of the next I will be buying the tickets! Life is good, I can complain, but I won't. I want to end this day with a smile and my Starbucks at my side. Have a good night!

weekend worker

I work weekends, no exceptions. Yeah, it becomes a drag real soon. And it's not even a 9-5 kind of gig. Anyways, I had an interview this past Wednesday. Hopefully I get it, if not, that's okay too. Hope everyone has a great week!

rush hour

Walking around in San Francisco never gets old. Having been born there, I (almost) never complain about large amounts of people. I'm used to having to weave in and out of crowds to get to where I have to be. But I must say, one of my favorite times of the day is rush hour. In the financial district you have all these people in suits, backpacks, coats, bags, sneakers; it's all so refreshing!  You can say I've caught the spring fever. I feel so determined for this year, it's kind of ridiculous. But I'm happy. I had an interview today and I looked quite professional, if I do say so myself. I had many heads turn and even had a few people think I workes at both ZARA and Nordstrom. It was very refreshing!  After my interview I went to eat at the Bistro and then I walked around and snapped a few pictures, but the one above is my favorite. Well, that's all for now folks. I've got to catch up with all my blog reading then off to sleep. Have a good one!

slow it down, make it stop

dress; XHILARATION / jacket and shoes; H&M / wristlet; COACH

Here's a silly picture of yours truly. One thing I promised myself was that I was going to get dolled up more often. Since I work with a uniform, most of my clothes is either used by my sister or it just sits in my closet. I said no more, and decided to use my dresses and everything more.  The dress here is actually my sisters, the jacket is hers too (the shoes and wristlet are mine). I still have to post up the outfit I wore for the wedding, but I'll go that tomorrow. Have a great week everyone!

a little bit out there

  image via polyvore

Hello there everyone! I hope everyone is doing splendid this fine evening. I'm just here, ya know, surfing the net. Nothing new. Got a few things on my mind though, maybe I should just put it out there.

So here it goes:

New York, photography, school, work, life, fun, Summer, graduation, life, experience, stress, careers, leisure, growth, blog giveaways, friends, future, love, family, responsibilities...

I guess this year brought so may possibilities and I have to sort through everything and learn to let go and embrace the new. Hopefully I get to go to NYC this year. By next year I hope to have my AA in Photography and graduate. By the end of this month I'll know if life in retail has more in stock for me and I will also see if it's worth doing a blog birthday giveaway this month. So, to say that this year has started with a big bang is an understatement. Everything will work out, though. it has to. Have a good night everybody!

Wedding Bliss

This year started out with love. Two people I know got married and it was a very special and lovely event. I loved every part of it. It was intimate, it was heartwarming and full of love. I wish the best to the lovely couple.

in the city, of San Francisco

Who doesn't love San Francisco? I know I sure do and I love it even more in the winter time (well, as winter-y as it gets). During Christmas I just love to go and see the lights light up the sky and look at all the people ping and smiling. It's a great time of the year, but then again, it's always a great time of year in San Francisco. I just wanted to share this #ThrowBack from my Instagram. Have a good night everyone!
