Closet Clear Out : the scoop

This weekend was fantastic!

Every quarter or so, Poshmark has such a thing called Closet Clear Out and once you reduce your price by 10% or more, the people who liked the item will be notified and get reduced shipping for an hour.

This President's Day weekend was amazing for me sales wise and here's the result of dropping prices and accepting offers. Since I'm going to vacation next month, I'm trying to save as much money as I can so I won't be tight while enjoying myself. My flight and stay was paid with money that I've saved up from selling and it feels so good to do something I love and see it take me somewhere, literally.

Here are a few tips on getting some sales and selling :

  • Lowball offers: Always counter. Yes, the offers are unrealistic sometimes, but just close the app, take a deep breath and remember, it's business not personal.
  • Advertise: use social media to put you and your items out there! Make yourself known and get that money.
  • Relist: If your item is already to your lowest price, relist it high and drop it low.
  • Bundles: They sell! I sold 2 bundles and they were awesome.
  • Strategic price drops: price drop at a time when you know people are on the app. For this, you have to know your followers and your closet peak times.

That's all I have for now. Did anyone else have a great CCO? If you have any other tips, let me know! I'd love to try new things to get more exposure.

business cards

One step that I have been avoiding since starting to sell online has been business cards. I just thought them to be for "real" businesses and I would always say that what I'm doing was just a hobby.  But in order for others to see me as a real business, I have to see myself as one first.

I bought these business cards on Vistaprint along with some thank you cards.  I'm not going to say that I find it both intimidating and a bit humorous that I have business cards, I'm just much more laid back and you wouldn't think that I'd have any type of cards. But I am so excited to put them to use. I'm trying to keep myself on task, because everyone knows that the first six months to a year of starting anything new is hard, but this is where I'm starting to see that it's so worth it.

I'm chasing my daydream with all I have, and so far it's been a great adventure.

#marcbeauty

Guess what came in the mail for me this week? Yup, my Marc Jacobs highlighters. I'm kinda excited to try these out since they're neutral colors. I'll post a full review later this week. I love getting free items to review, if you do as well, just comment your favorite brand and I'll give you a referral link.

new in the shop : 02/10/17

1 / 2 / 3 / 4

Can you guys guess my mood lately?
It's been raining here in California and while it's causing accidents ( please be careful everyone ) I kinda feel Spring is closer than ever.  Days are getting longer and I'm even more anxious to go out and see what life can bring. But with Spring comes color, so I thought I'd bring some colors and patters to the post today, plus, it's Friday!

  Enjoy your weekend everyone.

4 year Poshaversary

4 years ago on the 11th of this month I signed up for Poshmark and it's been quite a journey since then.

When I first started using the app, Poshamark was pretty small still. It had barely started growing and gaining momentum and exposure. I wasn't very active on the app and only shares and posted sporadically. I signed up for a few other sites and I didn't quite like them for whatever reason. By 2014 I was posting more regularly and even went to my first ever PoshFest. I met so many people, some that I now talk to from selling strategies to family commitment. Poshmark has been a great platform for me to widen my views on achievement and it's community has a strong #husltgame.

It's 2017 now and it's been 4 years. I've gone from selling 2-4 packages a month to selling 20-50 a month( although, I do get my slow months and it can be 15 packages a month ). I've attended 3 PoshFests and made more friends and met my PoshCrushes. This year I'm hoping to be more involved and expand beyond what I've already done. Poshmark has given me the platform and I want to take advantage of all the things I've learned there and put them to use.

My goal this year is to grow and to keep growing and learning. I get so much from watching other PowerPoshers succeed and telling other sellers their stories and struggles and how they overcame them. But one thing that I keep hearing is to take the leap of faith. So, slowly but surely, I'm going to the edge of the cliff and taking that leap. I've just ordered my business cards and if you check my header, I re-made my logo, too. There's so much I want to do, but for now, I just want to let everyone know that with time and hard work, things will happen.

If you want to see more of my photos, check out my instagram ( instantdork2.0 ). Comment your anagram names bellow so I can check you guys out!
